Washington DC (July 6, 2023) – McDermott+Consulting, a national healthcare lobbying and policy consulting firm, is pleased to announce that the Regs & Eggs blog authored by new Health Policy Director, Jeffrey Davis, is moving to McDermottPlus. Regs & Eggs is a widely read, weekly blog focused on federal regulatory (‘reg’) affairs. Every Thursday, readers are updated on proposed or final regs, demonstrations, grant opportunities and other announcements from federal agencies. The blog was previously housed on the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) website.
“We are not only excited to have Jeffrey join the McDermottPlus team, but also to provide his existing readers and our clients with these important weekly updates and insights,” said Eric Zimmerman, principal of McDermottPlus.
Jeffrey has authored the Regs & Eggs blog for the past four years during his tenure as director of regulatory and external affairs with ACEP, where he managed the formal response to federal policies and worked with federal agencies and other stakeholders to help advance ACEP’s federal affairs agenda. He has covered topics such as Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues and quality programs, alternative payment models and value-based care, telehealth, the implementation of the No Surprises Act and many other regulatory issues that affect physicians and their patients. In his new role as a Health Policy Director for McDermottPlus, Jeffrey will continue providing his valuable content and insights to readers each week on this new platform.
“I started Regs & Eggs as a way to help emergency physicians and other stakeholders stay up to date on key regulations and other federal policies and initiatives in a way that was accessible, relatable and easy to understand,” said Jeffrey Davis. “I am thrilled to continue providing this content to my existing readers and to reach an even broader audience in my new role with McDermottPlus.”
