CMS releases final rules updating the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment System.
Today the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the CY 2019 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Final Ruled (CMS-1695-FC). This final rule also updates requirements for the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) and ASC Quality Reporting (ASCQR) Programs. These policy changes and payment rates are effective as of January 1, 2019.
