The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a report summarizing research on the effect of health insurance coverage expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on uncompensated care costs at US hospitals. According to the report, the ACA will save hospitals $5.7 billion this year in uncompensated care costs.
