The data includes information about 11.4 million financial transactions attributed to over 600,000 physicians and more than 1,100 teaching hospitals, totaling $6.49 billion.

The data includes information about 11.4 million financial transactions attributed to over 600,000 physicians and more than 1,100 teaching hospitals, totaling $6.49 billion.
During 2013, the first program year, the OPEN Payments data was collected on payments made between August 1 and December 31, 2013.. Beginning in 2014 and each year thereafter, data collection occurs between January 1 and ends on December 31.
